中国流变学学会 -- Chinese Society of Rheology

      中南林业科技大学流变力学与材料工程研究所成立于2005年12月18日，她是一个直属学校领导下的正处级研究机构。以科学研究、教育改革、人才培养、学术交流、服务社会为其主要任务。科学研究以流变力学与材料工程为主要命题；人才培养以博士研究生和硕士研究生为主，兼顾本科生教育；广泛开展教育教学改革和国内外学术交流活动。研究所下设3个主要的研究方向，即：
     方向一：流变力学理论及其应用；
     方向二：结构理论分析与力学计算；
     方向三：先进材料及其力学性能。
     首任所长由国内外流变学研究知名学者、国际流变学会唯一的中国籍理事、中国化学会和中国力学学会所属流变学专业委员会主任、第四届亚洲太平洋地区流变学国际学术会议主席罗迎社教授担任。
     研究所现有校内专、兼职研究人员26人。其中正教授8人，副教授7人，副高以上人员占58%；博士生指导老师5人，硕士生指导老师8人，硕导以上人员占50%；博士学位获得者8人，硕士学位获得者10人，硕士以上人员占69%。所有人员均具有本科以上学历。除此以外，本所还外聘了一批有较高学术水平的从事流变学与材料工程研究的兼职教授。研究所下设办公室、图书资料室、实验室，并拥有财政部投资新建的中央与地方共建的“基础力学实验中心”。

A Brief Introduction to

the Institute of Rheological Machanics & Material Engineering,

Central South University of Forestry & Technology

Founded on Dec. 18, 2005, the Institute of Rheological Machanics & Material Engineering, Central South University of Forestry & Technology is a research institute under the leadership of the university. It aims at scientific research, educational reform, talents cultivation, academic exchanges and serving the society. As for scientific research, Rheological Mechanics and Material Engineering as the main proposition; as for talents cultivation, it gives priority to doctor and postgraduate students, and gives consideration to undergraduate education; extensively develop education and teaching reform and academic exchanges home and abroad. The institute has three main directions of research, that is,

Direction One: Rheological Mechanics Theories and Application;

Direction Two: Analysis of Structural Theories and Mechanical Calculation;

Direction Three: Advanced Materials and Mechanical Properities.

As a famous scholar of Rheology home and abroad, professor Yingshe Luo is the first director of the Institute. He is the sole Chinese Delegate of the International Committee on Rheology, President of the Chinese Society of Rheology (CSR) belongs under the Chinese Chemistry of Society (CCS) and the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM) and Chairman of the 4th Pacific Rim Conference on Rheology (PRCR4).

The Institute has 26 staffs, including 8 professors, 7 associate professors, 58% above the senior post; 5 doctoral supervisors, 8 master supervisors, 50% above master supervisors; 8 Doctors, 10 Masters, 69% above master’s degree. All the staffs are above the bachelor’s degree. Moreover, the Institute has invited some famous part-time professors of Rheological Mechanics and Material Engineering. There are offices, Reference Room, Labs and Centre of Fundamental Mechanics Experiment, which was invested by Financial Department and established by both central and local governments.

We warmly welcome famous professors and doctors home and abroad, who intend to join the research of Rheology and material engineering, to study as postdoctoral students, work as part-time professor, give lectures, and attend academic exchanges and cooperative scientific research.
